via erinfetherston.com I’m always going to support any artist who takes a risk and stays true to themselves-especially those who have the ” who cares what people think ” attitude every now and then. I think a designer who creates lipstick … Continue reading

There is no surprise that all of my picks above are derived from the 50’s and 60’s. Depending on how long you’ve been following me, you may already know how incredibly inspired I am by all things retro. I’m magnetically attracted to fashion from every era but my own, and with good reason! Just look at these frames previously used by fashionistas for decades. For many of us, these iconic silhouettes have helped define our style more clearly and consistently enhanced our probably already inspired looks.
If you haven’t so far, I encourage you to pick up a pair of Cat Eye or John Lennon inspired sunnies and explore them for yourselves.
As a consultant, I should be telling you which frames go best with what shaped face and so forth. However, in doing so, I would be implying that this trend is limited to many of you, as by the textbook definition; some of these frames are not suitable for all faces. No need to worry about that.
Luckily for us all, there is such a vast assortment of retro inspired sunglasses out in the market right now, you will be sure to find a pair that suits your face perfectly. By simply dedicating the needed time to “trying on” you will notice how drastically one pair of ” Jackie O” sunglasses varies from the other.
Please take the time to answer the poll below and tell me how you feel about this trend.
I must admit, that I too have fallen victim to wearing the super sexy dress, that was just plain inappropriate! I think many times women get caught up in trying to look a certain way for the boys, that we leave some of our classiness at home. In my opinion a women does not need to pull all the tricks out of the bag at once. Stay focused on showing a certain part of your body and work your entire outfit based on what you choose to accentuate. We live, we learn, and learn some more
I love short ! Just not the short, tube top and 9in heel combo.
The knee to calf length dresses shown above, are a huge trend for 2013 and in my opinion; brilliant. By simply incorporating a longer length skirt and unexposed neck, these VERY tight, body contouring dresses; have managed to make the women wearing them look sexy yet sophisticated. All classiness included.

Let me introduce you to my ideal day & night looks.
I love the vintage feel portrayed in Bottega Veneta’s SS 2013 collection, and am crazy about; what I call ” the perfect work look”-displayed to the left.
I work in Luxury Retail and always need to be somewhat dressed up for the 9 to 5. The look above, I feel, is 100% in line with my style.
When it comes to the evening look; I personally would add a leather jacket to the cocktail dress and have it shortened. As for the shoes; they are awesome and can be perfectly worn Day OR Night!
